Cardio was almost worse than yesterday. But mainly just because there was no water break after the warm up and stretch. I kept waiting for it but it just.. never came. And I was offended. And it was just hard. No two ways about it. Difficult as hell. But, thankfully, not as long as yesterday.
I also did Insane Abs because I missed doing it that other day. And seeing how I’m at the end of the week it was now or never. And it wasn’t terrible, actually. Mainly because there were a lot of breaks. I certainly felt it, though.
Oh well now my timer’s going off for a recovery drink so I’m gonna end this here.

I’m literally glistening right now. I’ve never sweat so much in under one hour than I am right now. I literally laughed to myself at the fact that Nick told me P90X Plyo was an intense workout. That plyo is hardly a fraction of this. And I’ll admit that I had a lot of trouble with it. Cardio’s not my thing and I wish it was. But I just have to push harder next week.
Fucking Globe Turns and Squat Ups or whatever they even are were probably the hardest. That and Power Jumps. Actually, no, Squat Ups weren’t that bad compared to Power Jumps. But I think I really enjoy the fact that one of the hardest things to do is just the warm up.
Also, note to self, don’t wear sweat pants while doing this. And now I’m going up to my nice Air Conditioned room to sleep.

Wow, I totally forgot to post last night. We did the Insanity weight training that comes from the deluxe edition. It was actually a lot of fun. It was difficult, to be sure, but fun. The whole premise was pushing higher weights with fewer reps so the workouts were all repeated three times. And each time we went up 5 lbs. It really killed me at points but it was worth it.
Then just the regular Insanity Abs which always sucks.

Chest, Shoulders & Triceps so far today. Nothing terribly intense. It was actually nice to do pushups without having to do pullups. My right shoulder killed for some reason today, though. But most of the workout were still doable and fun. I’m gonna pump up the weights next week cuz I keep under estimating myself.
No Abs yet because I’m going out. But I’ll just do them when I get home and Nick will as well. I have no clever ending for this post.

I fucking tore up my big toes doing that shit on a deck without shoes. It’s kinda gross.

Jesus fuck was that hard. I honestly sweat more in the warmup than in most of any of the routines I did before. I hurt. But it’s a good hurt. At least after the fact it’s a good hurt. During it burned like none other.
But I’m actually looking forward to continuing with it. I’ve just been (pretty much) cast in a show that requires me to be toned. So the extra motivation is really nice. So I’m happy with it.
I wish we had the fancy ass “recovery and results” drink, though. Would be kind of nice.

"Alright.. fuck"
— Nick (upon completing our first full day of Insanity Max Interval Circuit)
First day of the P90X/Insanity Hybrid. And it was also the new circuit (to help muscle confusion): Back and Biceps + Abs. This one was just fucking long. Many it’s because there were no repeats and there were just a lot of things to do but it was long. But I suppose it wasn’t terrible otherwise. Mainly because I took it really easy. I’m gonna push it a lot next week but for today I was just feeling around again since it was new to me.
Also, the spreadsheet layout was really different than it was in the first circuit. And there were new people in the video. It didn’t hurt my performance; I was just really offended. And, as Nick said, “P90X: More than just muscle confusion.” Guess so.
And we said fuck Ab Ripper X and did the Insanity Abs instead. Because wow do I feel that a lot more than the P90X Abs. It’s fast paced and just burns like a motherfucker. And it keeps you involved; the P90X didn’t do that as much. I think we’ll probably do that from now on.

One of the workouts today is a thing called Twenty-Ones. Which entails doing twenty one curls. Why then, Tony Horton, does the PFD give me the option to put in my amount of reps instead of weights?
